JEFFREY W. KRAMER

(RETIRED)

Jeff Kramer is the senior partner in the firm. He has been certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a specialist in civil litigation since 1997. Jeff has extensive experience in commercial litigation matters and appears regularly before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal. 

Jeff speaks at continuing education programs sponsored by the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Bar Association. He has chaired a number of conferences on professional negligence, debt collection, cost-effective practice and disputes among professionals. He has taught law at the University of Toronto and instructed in the Bar Admission Course. 

In his free time, Jeff rides his bicycle and plays the bass guitar.

Jeff is a member of the Advocates Society and the Ontario Bar Association. 

Education
Jeff was awarded the Governor General’s Medal for high academic achievement upon graduation from the University of Toronto in 1978 with an honours degree in philosophy. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983 and spent his first year at the bar as law clerk to the Chief Justice of the High Court of Ontario. 

Practice focus
Jeff’s practice focus is commercial litigation with special emphasis on shareholder and partnership disputes, insolvency and professional negligence. 

In July 2014, Jeff withdrew from practice because of a health problem. He is currently on extended medical leave from the firm.
