Jeff Kramer is the senior partner in the firm. He has been certified by the Law Society
of Upper Canada as a specialist in civil litigation since 1997. Jeff has extensive
experience in commercial litigation matters and appears regularly before the
Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal.
Jeff speaks at continuing education programs sponsored by the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Ontario Bar Association. He has chaired a number of conferences on professional negligence, debt collection, cost-effective practice and disputes among professionals. He has taught law at the University of Toronto and instructed in the Bar Admission Course. In his free time, Jeff rides his bicycle and plays the bass guitar. Professional Organizations/Affiliations Jeff is a member of the Advocates Society and the Ontario Bar Association. Education Jeff was awarded the Governor General's Medal for high academic achievement upon graduation from the University of Toronto in 1978 with an honours degree in philosophy. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1983 and spent his first year at the bar as law clerk to the Chief Justice of the High Court of Ontario. Practice focus Jeff's practice focus is commercial litigation with special emphasis on shareholder and partnership disputes, insolvency and professional negligence. In July 2014, Jeff withdrew from practice because of a health problem. He is currently on extended medical leave from the firm. |

Micheal Simaan obtained his Bachelor of Arts in psychology and political science from York University in 1994, and his LLB from Osgoode Law School in 1997 before being called to the Ontario Bar in 1999. He articled and became a partner with a mid-size Toronto law firm where he worked for 15 years before starting the firm Kramer Simaan Dhillon LLP as its managing partner.
As a commercial and civil litigation lawyer he handles estate and will disputes as well as all types of contractual disputes including: shareholders', directors' and partnership actions; securities litigation; debtor and creditor rights; bank litigation; business, property and share valuation proceedings; employment law; Mareva and Anton Piller injunctions; contempt motions/trials; and internet defamation actions. Micheal has appeared before all levels of court in Ontario but is particularly known as a trial lawyer given his extensive experience in that area. He is regarded as a fearless advocate and has an established reputation for managing files in a professional, efficient and economical manner. Micheal is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, the Advocates' Society and the Canadian Bar Association. |

Amandeep Dhillon practices in the area of civil and corporate/commercial litigation, including matters of breach of contract, shareholder and partnership disputes and oppression matters, defamation, negligence, construction and real estate litigation and civil and commercial fraud. Prior to joining Kramer Simaan Dhillon LLP, Amandeep was the principal of Dhillon Litigation, a litigation boutique focusing extensively on civil and commercial litigation.
A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School, Amandeep's practice leads him to frequently appear before the Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal and various administrative boards and tribunals. In addition, Amandeep has extensive experience in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution and has conducted several successful mediations and arbitrations for his clients. Alex Minkin joined Kramer Simaan Dhillon as an articling student in 2012. He was called to the bar in September, 2013 and is now an associate with the firm.
Alex graduated with a J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2012 and a B.A.H in Politics and Economics from Queen's University in 2008. While in law school, Alex was active serving the community through Osgoode's Legal Aid Clinic, served as a research assistant for Professors Eric M. Tucker and Sean Rehaag and participated in a clinical mediation program, through which he successfully mediated several actions before the Ontario Small Claims Court. Alex is a member of the Advocates' Society, Ontario Bar Association and Canadian Bar Association. When not in the office, Alex enjoys running, biking, basketball, playing chess, and exploring the vibrant restaurant scene in Toronto. |
